Getting French pronunciation right
French has traps for speech synthesis: liaisons between words, numbers like "quatre-vingt-dix", and abbreviations such as "M." or "etc.". Write numbers and abbreviations the way they should be spoken, and set the stress or a pause in the editor where a phrase runs together.
For audiobooks and podcasts, a slightly slower pace and a pause after each paragraph make long French texts easier to listen to.
